We've all done it. Scrolled through "the gram", seen something that we liked and wished we could purchase it with the tap of our screen. Now, just in time for the holiday shopping season, Instagram has rolled out some new features where users can find products through business profiles or a video and save it to a shopping collection.

This past week, Instagram launched three new shopping features that help retailers gain even more exposure for the products they’re promoting. Perfectly timed for you to get your holiday shopping started (if you haven't already)!

So here's what's new:

SHOPPING COLLECTION | Users now have an option to have a "shopping collection" where they can save products that they're interested in purchasing. How does it work? Tap the product tag in a post or story within your feed. Then, tap the "Save to Collection" icon located just below the image on the bottom right hand side. And Voila! Users are then able to access their "Shopping Collections" from their profile at any time. A perfect way to compile your holiday shopping list!

VIDEO SHOPPING | The 'gram' now has a shopping icon at the bottom left hand corner of the screen of branded videos. This feature makes it easier for users to view the featured product, prices, and more.

SHOP TAB | Business profiles on Instagram now have a shop tab, similar to the "Shop Now" tab shown below. This feature allows users to browse products from the sponsored company and includes clickable images showing product information.

These new instagram features give retailers additional (and easier) ways to get their product in front of consumers. All three features are super user friendly, but really, they're in favor of the brands. These added shopping options are increasing brands' product exposure on the already popular platform.
