Hooray for Small Businesses! Pinterest Launches Pinterest Shop for Small Business Saturday

'Tis the ultimate season for consumers, so why kick it off by supporting small businesses this Saturday, November 30th via the new Pinterest Shop? If you're not familiar with the popular social media network, Pinterest allows users to visually discover new interests by viewing images posted by other users along with share their own images associated with project, goods, and services. Now they have launched a new Pinterest Shop where small businesses are featured just in time for for Small Business Saturday.

So What's the Deal?

Pinterest is following suit with other social media platforms like Instagram which also recently launched a similar shopping experience through their app. The new Pinterest Shop dashboard showcases small businesses' products and profiles, similar to Etsy. Currently, 17 small businesses are allowed to use this function, but the social media network plans to keep updating the Pinterest Shop with more. Users are able to browse a selection of curated products that small businesses are selling, allowing the businesses to not only showcase products, but their profile as well. This potentially helps bring in sales in time for the holidays.
